MENTZER PRINTING INK WINS NATIONAL AWARD

Mentzer Printing Ink, of Fountain Square, Indianapolis recently won an award in a national competition sponsored by a printing industry trade magazine.

Mentzer Printing Ink won the Pewter Award in the Children's Book category of The Annual Gold Ink Awards competition sponsored by Print Executive Magazine, which is published by the North American Publishing Company, Philadelphia, Pa., and in conjunction with the RIT/Printing Impressions Hall of Fame. The awards will be presented at the Gold Ink & Hall of Fame Awards Banquet, Oct. 16, 2006, Chicago, Illinois. The award was for unique and distinctive improvements and designs for self-published author Craig Gosling’s children’s book, For the Love of Animals: Rhyme and Reason.

The contest, which drew more than 1,500 entries across 50 categories, recognizes the work of providing quality products to print customers.

Mentzer Printing Ink specializes in innovative printing solutions for its customers. "We're honored," Company President James Mentzer said. "Lots of printing companies claim they have solutions for customers. It's something else when independent industry experts verify it."

"Winning a Gold Ink Award signifies a great accomplishment," says Mark S. Herzog, Group Publishing Executive. "It is North America's most prestigious print competition."
